Meet Jason Roberts, 

Father, Founder, Fervent Listener

I'm so pleased to meet you and share with you a little about me, my journey and why I set the target to help 7,000 employees be engaged by 2023.


After a 21 year career in London, working for some of the largest Financial Services and Technology institutions in the world including JP Morgan, I launched Human Capital Consultancy in 2018 to capture the voice of the employee then work with HR departments to solve for issues that cause employee disengagement.


I have experienced employee disengagement. I know first-hand what it is like to suppress a point of view, and not voice a concern because of perceived repercussions. But more importantly, I've seen how employee engagement is improved when staff are given the platform to share their views and see their words turn into action.


Ralph G. Nichols said: "The most basic of all human needs is the need to understand and be understood. The best way to understand people is to listen to them."


The employee voice is the most underutilised free asset of any organisation. I am passionate about the employee voice, the impact the suppressed voice will have on self-esteem and how being listened to benefits wellness and employee mental health. 


I love competitive sport, scuba diving and when I need to clear my mind, I enjoy walking in the local country park & feeding the ducks and carp. I spend most Sunday evenings plaiting my young daughter's hair for the school week ahead and I've not seen my eldest since she became a teenager because she loves her bedroom, her iPhone and Snapchat.

Wisdom is the reward you get for a lifetime of listening when you'd have preferred to talk. One of the most sincere forms of respect is actually listening to what another has to say."
